Where do you stand today?

That was our big question to the public at the Suisse Caravan Salon 2021 in Bern. It was answered at our exhibition stand over 5 days. Visitors were able to "check in" to our fictitious pitch and that of the Touring Club Switzerland on site and try out the web app straight away. The conclusion? Very positive - many visitors now know where they can spontaneously "park" their motorhome or campervan legally and easily in the future

Preparation day

Where do WE actually stand? Parkn'Sleep is a trade fair newcomer, as our start-up is just 8 months old. Participating in an established SME trade fair is therefore a really cool start for us in the camping industry.

Here we are - exhibition hall 1.2 stand B014. We take the bus into the elevator and up to the second floor. We like the hall and the exhibitors should become a real family over the next few days. On the one hand, there is the TCS, which created a great vacation atmosphere with its stand. The camping advice service provides information for new campers and gives professional advice to its customers on major purchases. Or the Ferrycenter, which organizes the booking of ferry trips for us campers. At MyCamper you could try your hand at the wheel of fortune and win great prizes. The Wohnmobilland Schweiz association is on site with dedicated people and advises visitors on pitches and topics relating to spontaneous travel in a motorhome. Caro and her team from Sandsjogarden probably had the longest journey - probably the favorite stand of the northern travelers.

Trade fair days

The visitors stream into the halls and into the outdoor area as if there was something to see :-) Ok, there DEFINITELY is something to see! After the corona-related dry spell (cheers), many people probably feel the need to pile into a VW California with ten people. Or simply to discuss the latest fuel cell technology for expedition vehicles up close and loud again, only to end up getting hold of two folding chairs from our stand neighbor Campingprofi. We love the trade fair and are right in the middle of it.

"Where are you today - or tomorrow?": A fundamental question on camper trips. Hymer, Pössl, VW and co. advertise "freedom" in capital letters at the trade fair, but travel planning is often linked to advance reservations at a campsite. If campsites are full in the high season, or if you don't want to restrict yourself in your planning, there are no real alternatives. What if you just want to stay spontaneously, legally and safely without all the searching and booking?

Trade fair conclusion: Our solution was very well received by curious visitors to the Suisse Caravan Salon as well as by partners and tourist destinations. The on-site check-in point was a fun way to get to know the app and our team provided expert advice. Visitors were also given a Parkn'Sleep mug as a small gift. From our point of view, we were able to introduce many visitors to a great offer that they can use on their trip in the future.

Outlook: We'll be back - no question! In the meantime, we are expanding the parking space network for you. We currently have 70 locations with 580 pitches in Switzerland and are now rolling out our model to Europe.
