STARTUP NIGHTS IN WINTERTHUR 2022

Parkn'Sleep at the Startup Nights

On November 3 and 4, the sixth "Startup Nights" took place in Winterthur. This year, the Entrepreneuer Club, which organizes the event, is going all out. In concrete terms, this means that the "Startup Nights" took place over two days instead of the usual one. Many visitors arrived spontaneously and checked in before the entrance - surely there are parallels to our product? In addition to workshops and speeches, more than 140 startups were on site with their innovations.

We were allowed to be present on both days with our Parkn'Sleep "booth" and bring our product closer to the visitors. This time, however, it was not a typical camper audience, but many startup-interested people, investors, business angels, coaches and well-known speakers like Bettina Hein (Höhle der Löwen), Pascal Bieri (planted) or Nicholas Hänny (NIKIN). For two days, the who's who of the Swiss startup scene was able to exchange ideas, network and learn a lot from each other.

Adam Opuchlik, Co-Founder and CMO of Parkn'Sleep, was allowed to give a short talk about Parkn'Sleep on the second day on the "Unicorn Stage". Last Monday he had already given a talk on the topic of "Growth Marketing Hacks". With his many years of experience in the field of digital advertising and "growth hacking", he was able to explain the complex topic to the audience and booth visitors in an exciting and simple way. In general, the permanent themes of growth, leadership and mindset were again very much in evidence at the event.

Due to the size, the "Startup Nights" no longer took place in the Technopark, but in the Eulachhallen on two stages - mostly in English. "We wanted to expand the event to the whole of Switzerland and also address people from the French-speaking part of Switzerland, for example," says Alyssia Kugler, explaining the reason for the change of language, which led to people from England, Estonia and even the USA also registering. "Besides, English is the language of the startup world." Source: 84xo.ch

A novelty this year was also an app for meeting potential investors, cooperation partners or founders directly on site: In a specially designed area with bar tables, the two "matches" who had previously made an appointment digitally arranged to meet for a 20-minute "speed dating" session. The Entrepreneuer Club also extended its event to two days to allow more time for these discussions. Many program points ran in parallel, so that the participants did not miss what seemed interesting to them.

Networking around the "campfire" at Parkn'Sleep

It is now impossible to imagine life without the nail stick

After the honors on the main stage, the organizers had invited to the final party, which lasted until the morning hours. The atmosphere was great and you could literally see the ideas, dreams and motivation in the faces and in the flashing lights of the dancing people. Will we be there again next year? No question!
