The Tour de Suisse is the major sporting event in Switzerland. Tens of thousands of visitors follow the stages along the route and in the finishing towns.
Many visitors arrive with motorhomes and campervans. As a Tour de Suisse partner , we provide the parking infrastructure together with our hosts. Campers can stay overnight on 350 pitches at 40 locations.
The parking spaces can be approached spontaneously and without pre-booking - on site, you can then check in conveniently via web app. The pitches are all signalled and marked with a corresponding QR code. The availability and all pitch information can be checked in advance at Parkn'Sleep be checked beforehand.
The Tour de Suisse 2022 will start this year in Küsnacht on Lake Zurich. Already the First stagewhich will be run as a circuit, is already quite something! The loop towards Greifensee, the Zurich Oberland and over the Pfannenstil back to Küsnacht ZH will be completed four times and includes a total of over 2,000 metres in altitude.
We recommend the Rerstaurant Hulftegg in Mosnang or the Hasel Farm in Hombrechtikon for overnight stays. Here goes to the places.
The Second day can be regarded as a classic transfer stage. Over the Zurich Oberland and through the canton of Aargau, the route heads towards Aesch BL. But it would be wrong to take this stage lightly! Again, over 2,000 metres of altitude await and it is a constant up and down. The Challpass, which is approached from Laufen, is a tough climb.
We recommend the Ettapenort Aesch or the farm of Sandra and Phillip Rosset in Reingoldswil for overnight stays. Here goes to the places.
The Stage 3 once again shows the topographical face of Switzerland. There is no such thing as flat! A stage in the Jura region always promises a spectacle and is an unparalleled rollercoaster ride. Around 3,000 metres of altitude await the peloton and the overall classification favourites could make their mark for the first time.
We recommend the Ettapenort Grenchen, the motorhome site by the mountain railway in Tramelan or of course the Dietschihof in Selzach for overnight stays. Here Go to the sites.
On paper is this stage tailored for the sprinters and the flattest in the whole Tour. After the start next to the Tissot Velodrome, the peloton crosses the cantons of Solothurn, Bern, Lucerne and Schwyz. Before the cheering in Brunnen, however, there is one last obstacle in the way on this section. On the additional lap in the Mythen region, the riders have to master the ascent over the saddle.
We recommend the Rütihof in Lucerne or the El Capo Bar in Sempach for overnight stays. Here goes to the places.
Benvenuti in Ticino! The Stage 5 is a pure "Ticino stage". The sunny region of Switzerland hosts a typical classic stage. After the start next to the new ice hockey stadium of HC Ambri-Piotta, the peloton sets off on its journey south. On the ascent to Monte Ceneri, the first attacks could take place. On the approximately 80-kilometre-long additional loop, which will be completed a little more than twice, it could come to an elimination race.
We recommend the Aerodromo Ambri, the Swiss Railpark in Biasca with its beautiful waterfall or the large campsite in Novazzano for overnight stays. Here Go to the pitches.
From one "sunny canton" to the next today to the next. For the riders, however, this will be anything but a bed of roses! After the start in Locarno, the route leads northwards through the Leventina and the Val Bedretto. At the latest on the ascent to the Nufenen Pass - the highest road pass in Switzerland - the big battle of the overall classification riders begins. This is followed by the long descent through the Upper Valais, until the dessert awaits with the final climb up to Moosalp.
For overnight stays, we recommend the Bellinzona campsite, the Lampertj campsite in Gampel or the campsites directly at the Schlussspurt on the Moosalp. Here Go to the pitches.
The character of the Stage 7 is similar to that of the stage the day before. An energy-sapping pass followed by a mountain finish. Only this time the peloton starts in Ambri and heads towards the Lukmanier Pass to reach Malbun via the Surselva and Chur.
We recommend the beautiful Cristallina nature site, the camping site in Brigels on the lake or the fire station in Pfäfers for overnight stays. Here Go to the pitches.
25 mostly flat kilometres decide victory or defeat. The men's Tour de Suisse 2022 will be decided in the battle against the clock. The absolute specialists on the time trial bike are at an On the last day advantage. It will become clear which overall classification riders still have fuel in the tank and which are burnt out after the two tough mountain stages. A time trial over this distance can still cause one or two shifts in the overall classification. The most gifted scooters and time trialists will definitely provide the final fireworks around Vaduz.
We recommend the campsite in Eschen for overnight stays. Here goes to the pitches.
After the premiere with two stages, the women will contest twice as many stages this year. The start weekend in Vaduz is made for the female scooters in the field and the number of altitude metres is manageable. The hilly 3rd stage and the queen stage at the end show a completely different face. In the second part of the Tour de Suisse Women, the climbing specialists get their money's worth.
Our team will be present on all days in the Villages of the stage towns. We would be happy if you stopped by and picked up a small gift. We wish you a great time at the Tour de Suisse.
